The First Year Experience (FYE) program provides first-year students with comprehensive living and learning experiences that foster a smooth transition to college and academic success. As a part of the Enrollment Managment and General Studies unit, FYE offers the GSR 101 First Year Seminar (FYS) course. In addition, Orientation and Student Success programs are part of the FYE unit. FYE works closely with the other GSR first year courses as well as Academic Advising, Career Center, The Honors Program, Student Affairs, and undergraduate departments and services. Students can look foward to many exciting events in their FYS course, including an author visit from their Common Reading book. Gallaudet was a participating university in the 2006 Foundations of Excellence in the First College Year. * We are located in the I. King Jordan Student Academic Center.
